the james is accessible to all.

As of January, 2019, the James Library & Center for the Arts is fully handicapped accessible!

While our architecturally-significant front door remains as the primary entry point for most visitors, our push-button side door (on the left of the building) is accessible via a gently-sloping ramp leading from our two handicapped parking spaces. The main entry front door has two steps that are flanked by wrought-iron railings. If both handicapped parking spaces are filled, visitors are welcome to drop guests at the ramp and park around the Norwell Center green.

Our main floor features an accessible bathroom. There is an elevator at the rear of the building that allows visitors to access each floor.
